What is Elementary Education?

The profession of elementary education is one that is both a fulfilling and fun career. In this profession you will be teaching young students from first grade to fifth grade. Depending on what age level you can teach anything from writing to math. Elementary education is definitely a great career and if you enjoy teaching young children it may be the career for you.

What do you teach in elementary education?

When it comes to teaching in an elementary school you need to be pretty well rounded. Elementary teachers may be teaching all subjects, depending on what school you teach at. Traditionally you would teach all subjects except for music and physical education. However, sometimes (depending on where you teach) you may teach less subjects.

What are some reasons to be an elementary teacher?

There are many reasons to become an elementary teacher. However, everyone has there own reasons. For me it was the influence of my family. Since multiple people in my family are teachers i saw first hand what it was like. I saw all the aspects and realized that it was something I could do for the rest of my life.
